FTR Share Why They Think Eric Bischoff & Other “Old-Time Miserable Podcasters” Are So Anti-AEW

Despite previously making appearances for AEW, Eric Bischoff has been frequently taking shots at the company on social media and his podcast for some time. Therefore, not many people were surprised when the former WCW senior Vice President called Tony Khan a clown on X earlier in the week, although AEW’s head honcho responding by sharing an image saying, “Get out of my sight, you miserable has-been” was unexpected.

And now, during an interview with Jeff Snyder, tag team specialists Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, collectively known as FTR, shared their take on the situation. Stating they feel Bischoff and other “old-time, miserable podcasters” bash AEW as they weren’t given jobs.

“I don’t think Tony Khan gets the credit he deserves because he afforded a lot of people a lot of jobs and a lot of income. Even if you look outside of AEW you’ve got all these old-time miserable podcasters like Eric Bischoff and some of the others who make a living just by going on their podcasts and burying Tony and AEW when they know AEW is a place where business is thriving. AEW is a place that is helping change professional wrestling for the positive. So not only does Tony give us and hundreds of other people a living, he’s afforded a living to some people who would otherwise be sitting miserable, bankrupt in their house.”

Dax Harwood

“I think he’s really mad that Tony wouldn’t give him a job the few times he was there to collect the paycheck.”

Cash Wheeler

68-year-old Bischoff, who has been declared bankrupt multiple times, hasn’t been actively involved in pro wrestling since being fired by WWE after just four months in his role as Executive Director of SmackDown in 2019. However, in Bischoff’s defense, many feel he was just the fall guy for the ratings not meeting expectations. Still, there seems to have been no hard feelings long-term from either side, as Bischoff would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021
