FOZZY’s “Save The World” tour is currently on the United Kingdom leg, and the band has been performing a successful run of sold-out shows to enthusiastic crowds. But being on the road rarely happens without the occasional gaffe, and FOZZY guitarist Rich Ward was, unfortunately, the victim of overzealous security at the band’s show on Tuesday evening in Chester.
The altercation was captured by Twitter user Dan Young who filmed Ward leaning into the front row of the audience for a guitar solo when a security guard grabs him by the arm and pulls him into the gap between the barricade and stage. Understandably, Ward looks furious as he climbs back onto the stage and continues the song before telling the security guard, “Don’t ever f*cking touch me again, little man.“
FOZZY frontman Chris Jericho was also clearly peeved and could be seen admonishing the security guard. Thankfully though, things didn’t escalate, and the show would continue without further incident, leaving them free to conclude this leg of their tour before they pick up again in 2022 in both Australia and again across the United States.
