In joyful news, Olympic gold medalist and former WWE talent Gable Steveson has welcomed his first child, a baby girl named Stori Wynn Steveson, who was born on December 31, 2025. His partner, Maddie Mitchell, announced the birth on Instagram with several photographs and a video, captioned “Stori Wynn Steveson 12/31/25 Our little girl .” The couple had only revealed their pregnancy in August 2025, with Steveson having fought two MMA matches since then.

25-year-old Steveson dominated amateur wrestling, winning four Minnesota high school state titles with a 210-3 record and multiple age-group world championships. At the University of Minnesota, he compiled a 103-3 record, earning two NCAA heavyweight titles, two Dan Hodge Trophies, and four Big Ten championships. He capped his amateur career with a 2020 Olympic gold in freestyle, becoming the youngest super-heavyweight champion. Therefore, after he signed with WWE, many immediately labeled him the next Kurt Angle or Brock Lesnar, and a match with Triple H was even rumored. However, it’s understood he failed to grasp the entertainment side of the business, and, given the big-money contract he was on, the decision was made to release him in 2024.
