In February, news broke that WWE had released several talents, including one-half of the Unholy Union tag team, Isla Dawn. This came as a big surprise at the time, although it was reported in July that she was AEW-bound. And now, during this week’s Collision taping in Glasgow, the Scottish wrestler has made her debut for the promotion in a match against Megan Bayne. Whether Dawn has inked a full-time AEW contract remains unknown, although if she has, Tony Khan will likely confirm it on X after her match airs.
31-year-old Dawn, real name Courtney Stewart, broke into the business back in 2013, with her first official match being against Nikki Cross of the Wyatt Sicks. From there, she became a regular on the UK indie scene before getting her big break via Stardom in Japan. Therefore, when WWE decided to launch NXT UK in 2019, it was no surprise to see her sign a contract and subsequently work against names like Rhea Ripley, Toni Storm, Piper Niven, and Lyra Valkyria.
