The former TNA Champion would get involved in a segment involving Steve Maclin and Frankie Kazarian, resulting in a tag match later in the evening also featuring Jake Something.
49-year-old Anderson broke into the business in 1999 and worked as an enhancement talent off and on for WWE until signing a full-time contract with the company in 2005 and being assigned to OVW. Once on the main roster, he would immediately grab fans’ attention by being his own ring announcer, memorably saying his character’s surname twice.
However, despite brief success holding the United States Championship and later becoming Mr. Money in the Bank, he was released from WWE after Randy Orton complained directly to Vince McMahon that he had almost injured him during a match.
