Last year, speculation began that Kayla Braxton’s future might not be with WWE due to her changing her social media usernames to reflect her legal surname, Becker. Therefore, it didn’t come as a massive surprise when, not long afterward, she announced her WWE departure, with her final show being the June 28 episode of SmackDown.
However, it appears Becker’s post-WWE career hasn’t taken off as much as she wanted, as she has now announced on X that she’s “back on the market” and that a “rent payment looming.” This has resulted in talk that she may be AEW-bound, although she previously tweeted, “If I wanted to keep working in wrestling, I wouldn’t be walking away from the largest wrestling company in the world.”
34-year-old Becker had been with WWE since 2016, initially debuting as a ring announcer for NXT. From there, she became a regular backstage interviewer on numerous pay-per-views before permanently departing NXT and joining the main roster in August 2019. Additionally, she memorably co-hosted WWE’s popular online interview show, The Bump, although she would eventually move on from this role to focus on her other, more high-profile WWE responsibilities.
