Former ROH Booker Marty Scurll Has Big Ambition For 2025

Marty Scurll looked set for pro wrestling stardom, but due to highly publicized allegations in 2020, he ended up persona non grata with major promotions. However, with almost five years having passed, Scurll has now revealed during a live stream with Thats Wrestling that he feels that 2025 will be the year he returns to television.

In fact, not only that, but the former Bullet Club member would guarantee he’ll have the number one selling t-shirt within a month, which is certainly a bold claim considering the amount of merchandise wrestlers like Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Danhausen, and MJF move.

“I think 2025, I think it’s time that the villain ends up back on TV with a major company. I think the people are ready. I think the people have been ready for a long time. I think it’s, we’ve just been waiting for one of the major companies, like WWE, to sort of pull the plug and just go for it. I know the boys are ready. Everyone wants to work with me, wants to wrestle me.

I know what I bring to the table. I can guarantee you, whatever company it is, you bring me back, within the first month, I’m going to have the bestselling t-shirt in the whole company, no matter what company it is, even if it’s WWE. I know that for a fact.”

36-year-old Scurll broke into the business in his home country of England and was soon a fixture on the British independent scene. Still, he felt he could achieve more, so he focused on picking up international bookings that would lead him to TNA, PWG, ROH, and New Japan. And while he ended up as the booker of ROH, many believed he would eventually join AEW, with it strongly rumored at the time that he was penciled in to be the leader of the Dark Order as “The Exalted One,” a role that ended up going to Brodie Lee.
