In recent weeks, Hikuleo has been working dark matches before SmackDown, beating Kit Wilson and Ryan Matthias in short matches. And now, during Jacob Fatu vs. Solo Sikoa at Night of Champions, the 34-year-old has made his WWE television debut by assisting Sikoa in winning the United States Championship.
Still, it should be noted that Michael Cole, on commentary, seemingly didn’t know what to call him, indicating he’ll be getting a new name. What this will be remains unconfirmed, but as WWE previously applied to trademark “Talla Tonga,” that seems the most likely option.
Hikuleo, whose real name is Tautuiaki Taula Koloamatangi, broke into the business via the Dudley Boyz’s Team 3D Academy in 2016 before joining the New Japan dojo. This led to him becoming a member of the iconic Bullet Club stable alongside his half-brother, Tama Tonga, and his cousin and adopted brother, Tanga Loa. From there, he wrestled matches for TNA and AEW, thanks to New Japan’s working relationship with both promotions. However, he ultimately signed with WWE almost precisely a year ago, with it immediately speculated he was destined to become part of The Bloodline.
