Bam Margera was one of the main stars of MTV’s hit show, “Jackass,” having been with the series since its inception. He was hardly part of the franchise’s recent “Jackass Forever” film due to his problems with drug addiction, and he sued Paramount and others connected to the film for firing him before later settling the lawsuit.

TMZ reported that police are on the lookout for Margera after he darted from a Florida rehab facility that he wasn’t allowed to leave. The facility’s manager reported the “Jackass” star missing on Monday, according to a Delray Beach police report. The manager said Margera was unhappy being there, and he said he would be checking into a different rehab center in the area. He then left the facility in a black sedan. Margera was apparently under a court order to stay there.

Police also reportedly looked for him that day, but have yet to locate the “Jackass” star. Sources close to Margera told TMZ that he was recently staying at a sober living facility and had gotten into an argument with his wife. Last month, Margera broke his wrist and elbow in a skateboarding accident. He also recently completed a year of treatment for substance abuse problems.

“Jackass” was recently connected with WWE to promote “Jackass Forever,” and the franchise’s leader, Johnny Knoxville wrestled Sami Zayn at Wrestlemania and also appeared in this year’s Royal Rumble.  “Jackass” was created by Jeff Tremaine, Spike Jonze, and Johnny Knoxville. It originally aired for three short seasons on MTV between October 2000 and August 2001, with reruns extending into 2002. The show featured a cast of nine carrying out stunts and pranks on each other or the public. The cast included Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Chris Pontius, Dave England, Ryan Dunn, Steve-O, Jason “Wee Man” Acuña, Ehren McGhehey and Preston Lacy.

Margera and his late friend, Ryan Dunn, even starred in their own spinoff series, “Viva La Bam.” The show featured music from some of Margera’s favorite bands including HIM, CKY, Cradle of Filth, Clutch, Turbonegro, Slayer, Gwar and more. “Jackass” also had a close connection to hard rock, heavy metal and punk and even released compilation albums featuring bands used for the show. Artists featured on the show and in “Jackass” movies included Andrew W.K., The Misfits, CKY and Slayer, among many others.
