Bad Wolves formed in 2017 and found success quickly with a cover of the Cranberries’ “Zombie” as well as their own chart-toppers “Remember When,” “Killing Me Slowly” and “Sober.” In early 2021, the band’s original singer, Tommy Vext, left the band resulting in a legal battle over use of the band’s name and songs.

A public back-and-forth has commenced pretty much ever since, but Vext now finds himself in legal trouble after being arrested last weekend on a misdemeanor charge of threatening. As reported by Loudwire: “Per the Gila County Sheriff’s Office, the 42-year-old musician was arrested at 8:33AM on Sunday for the offense of Threatening or Intimidating / Physical Injury or Property Damage. The arrest type was listed as ONVW, which is an abbreviation for On View.”

Vext took to Instagram to explain what happened saying he witnessed an alleged physical assault on his girlfriend during a FaceTime call.

“In the statement, Vext primarily laid out a timeline of events that detailed how he witnessed an alleged physical assault on his girlfriend by her father during a FaceTime call while he was in Las Vegas and she was in Arizona,” Loudwire reported.

“According to Vext, the father came to confront his daughter when he learned she would be moving to Phoenix and had verbally threatened her as well. The singer says he called 911 to report the assault and then packed up and started traveling from Vegas to Arizona to check on his girlfriend. While traveling back, he learned that police had been dispatched to the home and that Hannah had been arrested. Vext alleged that another family had fabricated a story to protect the father.”

“Vext added that upon arriving back in Arizona to give a witness statement, he too was placed under arrest at a police precinct as a family member had told police he allegedly had made a violent threat to kill members of the family. The singer says he was held for roughly an hour before being released.”
