The Righteous tag team, consisting of Vincent and Dutch, has been rumored to be WWE-bound on more than one occasion, with a partnership with Bray Wyatt once even speculated. And while nothing has ever come of this, it appears that having departed AEW/ROH earlier this year, a WWE run could be next. This is because, according to Fightful Select, they are telling promoters they are finishing up their indie dates.

“Sources familiar with the situation claim to Fightul that Vinny and Dutch, known collectively as The Righteous, have informed some promoters that they are finishing up their indie dates in the coming months. Word out of WWE is that the company has been interested in them, and many believe they are likely to be signed.”Fightful Select

Vincent and Dutch began teaming in ROH in 2021, and along with Tyler Bateman, would become ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions. Still, they’d ultimately leave the promotion, not returning until Tony Khan purchased the company. This opened the door for them to work for AEW, with arguably their biggest career match taking place at WrestleDream 2023 when they faced MJF in a two-on-one handicap match after his partner, Adam Cole, suffered a legitimate ankle injury. However, some feel that this match actually ended The Righteous’ momentum, as MJF won the match despite being at a numerical disadvantage.
