While no longer a full-time wrestler, René Duprée remains very much involved in the pro wrestling industry, with his podcast, Café De René, keeping him relevant. However, just days before his podcast was set to be relaunched, his co-host has posted a video revealed that it has been postponed, noting that the former WWE talent “has had a lot of problems.” Precisely what the issue is remained vague, although fans online are concerned, as just last year, he had to attend Narcotics Anonymous.
41-year-old René Duprée, whose father was a Canadian professional wrestler and promoter, appeared poised to become a massive WWE star when he signed a contract at the age of just 18. This would subsequently see him become the youngest wrestler to hold a WWE championship when he and Sylvain Grenier, collectively known as La Résistance, won the World Tag Team Championships from Kane and RVD. Still, despite so much promise, this was arguably the highlight of his WWE career, with him working in Japan from 2007 to 2022.
