Ex-Daycare Boss Who Blew $350K On WWE Tickets Faces Years In Prison

Murielle Misczak, a former director of a Brooklyn daycare center, has pleaded guilty in federal court to wire fraud after embezzling more than $2.75 million in tuition payments from her employer. Between 2022 and 2025, she misused her access to the center’s bank accounts, diverting funds to finance a lavish lifestyle. Court records show this includes spending over $350,000 on WWE event tickets, with hundreds of thousands more going toward travel, luxury goods, and personal expenses.

Earlier today, in federal court in Brooklyn, Murielle Misczak pleaded guilty to wire fraud in connection with a scheme to defraud her former employer, a Brooklyn daycare, of more than $2.75 million. The defendant took advantage of her access to bank accounts for the Daycare to steal millions in tuition payments in order to line her own pockets and fund trips to World Wrestling Entertainment events among other personal expenses.– justice.gov

Under federal wire fraud laws, Misczak now faces a maximum of 20 years in prison. Her sentence will be driven by the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, where the massive $2.75 million loss alone adds 16 to 18 offense levels. Further increases are also likely for abuse of a position of trust and the sophisticated means she used, though her guilty plea could earn credit for acceptance of responsibility. First-time offenders in similar multimillion-dollar cases often receive sentences ranging from several years to well over a decade, though judges have final discretion.
