WWE gave Dominik Mysterio the nickname of “Dirty” on last Monday’s episode of Raw, and it seems “Dirty” Dutch Mantell isn’t happy about it. Mantell, real name Wayne Maurice Keown has used the moniker for much of his career and feels WWE has stolen it from him, sharing this point of view in a series of tweets on Twitter.
While it is easy to understand why Mantell feels slighted by WWE using the name, it should be noted that other wrestlers have used the nickname “Dirty” in the past, including Dick Murdoch, Dick Raines, and Dick Slater. Plus, Fandango currently wrestles under the name Dirty Dango in Impact Wrestling. Of course, there is every chance Mantell is simply trolling everyone in an attempt to get attention, which upon reflection, does seem plausible.
