Wrestling fans last saw Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 39 when he lost a triple-threat match. Subsequently, it would come out he was working hurt and needed some time off, which coincidentally aligned with his contract dispute over his new deal’s terms. However, now he has been spotted at the opening ceremony for the Special Olympics World Games 2023, which you can see from a photo uploaded by WWE’s German Twitter account.
Whether this means McIntyre will soon return to WWE television remains to be seen. Although it has been reported that WWE was hoping to have him involved in Money In The Bank, which takes place on July 1st. And you’d have to think that unless he were going to be a surprise, WWE would need to reintroduce him sooner rather than later, as the event is fast approaching.
