Bandido is currently positioned as a key talent for both of Tony Khan’s promotions due to being the reigning ROH World Champion and one-half of the current AEW World Tag Team Champions with Brody King. However, the popular luchador has now unfortunately disclosed on Instagram that he is currently dealing with a shoulder injury, after his shoulder popped out while he was wrestling Hechicero on Friday night’s CMLL show. How long he will now be sidelined is unknown, but seeing him in a sling just two weeks ahead of WrestleDream is concerning.

Bandido has unfortunately been plagued by injuries since joining AEW, as he previously missed considerable time after breaking his wrist during a match with Konosuke Takeshita during a Rampage taping in June 2023, requiring two surgeries. Additionally, he suffered a concussion when he returned to attack Chris Jericho, unfortunately landing on his head when delivering a top rope dropkick. Therefore, given this latest news, some fans on social media are calling the luchador injury-prone, although that seems harsh, as the extent of this damage isn’t yet known.
