This past weekend Phillip A. Thomas II was >arrested inside the home of Sonia Deville while possessing a knife. He’d admit to police at the scene that he was planning on kidnapping her and now faces a lengthy prison sentence after being charged with aggravated stalking, armed burglary of a dwelling, attempted armed kidnapping, and criminal mischief.
Yesterday Thomas, who is represented by a public defender, was in court. He opted to use his fifth amendment right to remain silent, and a temporary injunction was set, meaning he cannot contact Deville. Later this month, there will be another hearing to make it permanent. It was also confirmed a pre-trial detention hearing would be held this upcoming Thursday, where it will be decided if Thomas can post bond. At present, he is being held without bond at Hillsborough County Jail in Florida.
