Darby Allin was forced to withdraw from the AEW Continental Classic after sustaining a legitimate injury during his November 26, 2025, Dynamite match against Kevin Knight, with Jack Perry stepping in as his Gold League replacement. And now, after it was revealed he was actually hospitalized for a few days following the match, Allin has shared an update during an interview with 680 The Fan, declaring that while he isn’t medically cleared, he feels “a million bucks right now,” and says AEW is just trying to save him from himself.
Darby Allin, real name Samuel Ratsch, is an AEW original, being one of Tony Khan’s first signings, having impressed in EVOLVE and PROGRESS. And while some felt he may be too small to ever become a singles star, his death-defying style of wrestling immediately got him over with fans, who immediately likened him to a young Jeff Hardy. Subsequently, he would win the TNT Championship twice and memorably held the AEW World Tag Team Championship with Sting, which has led to him headlining several pay-per-views.
