Creed Singer Scott Stapp Discusses Band’s Future Following Reunion At Sea

Last month, multi-platinum rockers Creed announced they would be reuniting for the “Summer of ’99” cruise set for April 18-22 of next year.

The band, featuring Scott Stapp, Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips, are reuniting for the first time since 2012 for two unique live performances under the Caribbean stars on Norwegian Pearl’s Pool Deck stage.

The cruise will also feature 3 Doors Down, Buckcherry, Tonic, Vertical Horizon, Fuel, The Verve Pipe, Tantric, Dishwalla, and Louise Post of Veruca Salt.

“The wait is over!” the band said in a social media announcement. “We are beyond stoked to announce that we will be reuniting on the Summer of ‘99 Cruise, sailing April 18 – 22, 2024 from Miami, FL to Nassau, Bahamas aboard the Norwegian Pearl.”

Recently, singer Scott Stapp spoke to Audacy Check In about the band’s plans following the cruise. Right now, nothing appears to be set in stone.

“We don’t have anything planned after that right now. It’s baby steps. But you know what? Relationships were positive, we support each other. And so we’ll see what happens from there. But right now I’m just excited to get back on stage with those guys. I respect them all so much. And I can’t wait to have a good time on that cruise and play some Creed tunes.”

“It is all for you,” Stapp told fans in an earlier video message. “Creed is back. Let’s do this.”

Stapp previously detailed the reasons for the band’s break-up.

“What went on after the shows, when each one of us were single at various times… We were living like rock stars, man,” he told the “Net Positive With John Crist” podcast.
