On Friday night, NXT’s Cora Jade would tweet an image saying, “You wanna be me, but you can’t be me!” And due to the timing, this led to many fans thinking she was talking about Skye Blue, whose look is similar to hers (they both wear their cap backwards) and who was wrestling Jade Cargill on AEW’s Battle Of The Belts around this time. However, Jade has shot down those claims, first by telling fans “you’re all idiots” and then noting she was busy wrestling Sol Ruca at the time, so she wasn’t paying attention to anything else.
Jade began wrestling in late 2018 and would debut for Impact Wrestling less than a year into her career while using the name Elayna Black. Subsequently, she worked for AEW and caught WWE’s attention, who promptly signed her and almost immediately put her 205 Live under her current name. Away from the ring, she was previously dating Trey Baxter but is now with Bron Breakker, which resulted in some mean-spirited fans saying she had significantly traded up.
