Confirmation On Whether Bryan Danielson’s Injury Is Legitimate

Last Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite saw Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli team up to defeat Orange Cassidy and Kazuchika Okada. However, near the match’s conclusion, Danielson took both an Orange Punch and Rainmaker Clotheslines, resulting in him needing medical attention. And now, during Saturday night’s Collision, it has been announced that the 42-year-old requires surgery for a broken orbital bone.

Still, some fans online wondered if this was part of a storyline or being done to give Danielson some time off of television, but PWInsider.com has subsequently confirmed that the injury is legitimate.

“For those who have asked about whether the announced Bryan Danielson broken orbital bone was legitimate or not, we have confirmed with AEW sources that the injury is not storyline.”

2023 has been a tough year for Danielson in terms of injuries because, in addition to breaking his arm at Forbidden Door, he also suffered a torn labrum in his match with MJF back in March. Hopefully, though, next year is better for the former WWE star’s health, with it known he intends to go part-time in the near future.
