CM Punk’s dream of headlining a WrestleMania will seemingly have to wait at least another year, as Dave Meltzer has reported that the former AEW star was injured during the men’s Royal Rumble match. While the exact injury and when it occurred has yet to be confirmed, the belief within WWE is that he suffered a torn triceps, and will now address this during Monday night’s Raw.
For those unaware, the triceps are the upper arm muscles responsible for extending your elbow. And, yes, this is the same injury that 45-year-old Punk suffered at All Out in 2022, which at the time sidelined him for nine months. However, until more information is released, it won’t be known how long he will now miss this time.
