Earlier this week, Dax Harwood’s brand new podcast dropped on AdFreeShows.com, and he would extensively talk about his friendship with CM punk. Additionally, he would say that he hopes Punk continues to be All Elite once he recovers from his injury, noting that Punk, along with The Elite, all want what’s best for pro wrestling, and with them together, it makes AEW’s roster that much deeper.
And now, with that information circulating online, Punk has either listened to the podcast or at least read the headlines, as he would respond on Instagram simply saying “Duh,” which seemingly appears to indicate that he thinks this is a no-brainer and he is open to returning.
Undoubtedly, there is money to make with a feud between The Elite and CM Punk, potentially alongside FTR, which would blur reality to the degree that rarely happens in pro wrestling. Nevertheless, whether the four men can get on the same page remains to be seen, and given The Elite mocked Punk during their return at this stage, it doesn’t seem very likely. Although it should be noted that wrestling is a bizarre business, and few in 1998 would think Bret Hart and Vince McMahon would not only work together again yet alone work a match. Therefore it would take a courageous person to bet against all four men sharing a ring in 2023.
