CJ Perry Shares Worrying Update After Recent Surgery

CJ Perry, known as Lana in WWE, recently worried fans when she disclosed that she had developed a severe finger infection after getting a splinter. Subsequently, she would undergo surgery, and while she was hospitalized for several days, it was hoped the worst was over, especially after she appeared at Worlds End. However, the recent AEW signee has now shared the concerning news on Instagram that due to complications, the infection is possibly returning, and she may need a second surgery. Our thoughts are with Perry at this time.

“On my way to the hospital again because complications happen with healing and infection possibly coming back. I find out soon if I need a second surgery.”

38-year-old Perry was a dancer and model before joining WWE in 2013, and shortly afterward, she adopted a Russian accent to manage her future husband, Miro, who at the time was called Rusev. Then, following an eight-year run with the company, she was surprisingly released in 2021 as part of mass budget cuts. At the time, it wasn’t known if she intended to continue her wrestling career post-WWE; with it known, she had acting aspirations, although this past September, she would debut for AEW at their All Out pay-per-view.
