Chris Jericho has been rapidly expanding his acting resume recently with guest starring roles in hit shows including “Dexter,” “Tracker” and “Margo’s Got Money Troubles.” Prior to that, Jericho appeared for the second time in the horror franchise “Terrifier” in addition to the Shudder film “Dark Match” and the drama/romance “Country Hearts Christmas.”
On a recent episode of “Close Up with Renee Paquette,” Jericho revealed that he’s about to add another credit in a future series produced by famed actor/producer/director Michael B. Jordan. “I was just on Dexter. That was kind of released by the paparazzi on the streets of New York City,” Jericho said, “That’s coming up. And then I have … a really good part in a big series that’s coming out very soon. That I’m not going to say what it is, but it’s produced by Michael B. Jordan. Just won an Oscar. So that’s a big part.”
In addition to his Academy Award, Jordan has also received Three Actor Awards, a Producers Guild Award, a Golden Globe and two Emmys. Fans of the “Rocky” franchise will recognize Jordan from his role as Apollo Creed’s son in three Creed movies. He’s also starred in “The Wire,” “Friday Night Lights,” “Fruitvale Station,” “Black Panther” and “Fantastic Four,” among many others.
Jericho told Paquette that he hopes to pursue more projects in the future related to both his music and acting careers. “I want to tour more with Fozzy,” he said. “I want to do more acting. Like now that I’ve had the taste of the big leagues and the good response from it, I want to do more of that. But I mean, I don’t really have a list of things that I want to do. But having said that, there’s so many things that come my way that I pick and choose what I want to do and get involved in them and enjoy them because it’s fun to do these things. It’s fun to be involved with some of these interesting, weird, and wacky projects.”
