Chris Jericho Returning To Japan This November (w/Video)

In major international wrestling news, DDT Pro-Wrestling has announced that Chris Jericho will be making his debut for the promotion on November 12th at Ultimate Party 2023. Jericho’s opponent will be DDT alumni Konosuke Takeshita, who, as part of the Don Callis Family, he has been feuding with on AEW television. The video in which Jericho calls Takeshita a “stupid bastard” in Japanese can be viewed below.

Jericho is highly respected in Japan, first wrestling in the country on an FMW show in 1991 alongside Lance Storm. Subsequently, he would become a WAR regular between 1994 and 1996 before joining New Japan in 1997. And while his WWE runs limited his opportunities to compete in Japan, he still wrestled sporadically on WWE house shows held in the country over the years. He would then return to New Japan for a memorable run between 2018 and 2020, which famously saw him wrestle Kenny Omega at the Tokyo Dome in a dream match.
