This weekend Pro Wrestling Guerrilla held their annual Battle of Los Angeles tournament, which Mike Bailey ultimately won. However, that isn’t what fans in attendance were left talking about, because in a total surprise, The Jericho Appreciation Society, including Chris Jericho, not only appeared on the show but also wrestled. With Jericho, Daniel Garcia, Angelo Parker, Matt Menard, and Sammy Guevara defeating Jonathan Gresham, Kevin Blackwood, Evil Uno, Michael Oku, and SB Kento in a ten-man tag bout. And after the match, Jericho would liken PWG to ECW, who he worked for in the mid-90s.

For those unaware, Battle of Los Angeles is PWG’s flagship show and one of the world’s most significant indie events, so for Jericho to wrestle on the show is quite remarkable. Nevertheless, few fans ever would’ve thought Chris Jericho would wrestle on a Ring of Honor show, which happened back in December. So it will now be interesting to see whether Jericho returns to PWG later in the year or is open to working for other indie promotions like GCW, which is the home of Nick Gage, or Rev Pro in the UK.
