Chelsea Green would appear on CBS News 24/7 following Hulk Hogan’s passing to pay her respects to the two-time WWE Hall of Famer. However, the fact she stated that “polarizing political views aside, he was an absolute icon” would see her heavily criticized online, and force her to issue an apology on X. Still, it appears this wasn’t enough as she has continued to receive abuse, and even death threats, resulting in her announcing she is stepping away from social media completely.
Hulk Hogan is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in pro wrestling history, although the fact that he has been involved in more than one controversy in his private life has resulted in a section of wrestling fans turning against him. And while everyone is entitled to their opinions, it is unfortunate that someone as unproblematic as Green has been bullied into walking away, when all she ever did was try to be respectful regarding a man who had died just hours beforehand.
