Charly Caruso started out in NXT during 2016 and would go to become a backstage interviewer on the min roster and host Raw Talk and for PPV pre-shows. However, her time with WWE may soon be coming to an end due to her having heat backstage. According to Fightful Select, she was late to film interviews with Randy Orton and Sheamus, and once news got back to Vince McMahon, he took her off television. At present, her on-air duties are being picked up by new WWE signing Kevin Patrick, and the belief is she doesn’t have much time left on her contract.
Caruso has options away from WWE as before joining the company, she worked as a sports anchor and reporter for multiple FOX affiliates and a journalist for an NBC affiliate. Since 2018 she has also worked for ESPN, and this past January, she began co-hosting a new ESPN podcast titled First Take, Her Take. She is also friends with AEW’s Tony Khan, having met him before either was involved professionally in the wrestling business.
