Charlotte Flair was injured in a storyline on last night’s episode of Raw following an attack by Nia Jax. Flair would later lose to Raw Women’s Champion Asuka by tapping out to the Asuka Lock. It’s understood the storyline injury was done due to fact Charlotte is scheduled to have elective surgery.
The specific surgery has not been disclosed as of writing, and there are differing reports on when Charlotte will be returning. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE is hoping she can return in time for SummerSlam, while TalkSport states that following the surgery, she will take an extended break and return for the Royal Rumble in January 2021.
