Charlotte Flair and Andrade went public with their relationship in 2019, and they kicked 2020 off on a high note by announcing on their social media accounts that they were engaged. At that time, both of their careers were on a high, with Andrade having just defeated Rey Mysterio for the United States Championship and Charlotte being less than a month away from winning the women’s Royal Rumble match. Since then, their careers have gone in opposite directions, and many fans have suggested that WWE put the duo together on television to elevate Andrade. Now in an interview with TV Insider, the 12 time Women’s champion has revealed she actually proposed doing just that.
Seminary WWE rejected this idea, and Andrade hasn’t been on WWE television since October 2020. The third-generation luchador was a Paul Heyman project, and when the former ECE boss lost his creative powers, Andrade’s stock began to fall due to Vince McMahon not being a fan. There has been talk of him returning to NXT, where he wrestled between 2016 and 2018 and is a former championship, but right now, his career remains in limbo.
