SummerSlam Sunday would see six tag teams attempt to steal the show with a TLC match for the WWE Tag Team Championship. Yet while Candice LeRae wasn’t officially part of the match, due to her husband Johnny Gargano and his DIY tag partner Tommaso Ciampa being involved, she not only made an appearance, but also took a brutal-looking bump through a ladder at ringside. And now the popular wrestler has taken to Instagram to show off the large and painful-looking bruise that was the result.
39-year-old LeRae is a 23-year veteran and, throughout her career, has made appearances for ROH, TNA, CZW, and Lucha Underground before wrestling for WWE in 2017 and signing a contract in 2018. Initially, she would find success as part of the promotions for the NXT brand, although, after going on maternity leave, her contract would expire. Still, when she was ready to return, the company brought her back to feature on the main roster, seeing her establish tag teams with Indi Hartwell and Nia Jax.
