Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake were as close as two wrestlers could be, traveling the world together dozens of times. However, after Hogan made inappropriate comments in front of Beefcake’s wife, the pair would fall out and go their separate ways. Still, Beefcake has now revealed, while talking to TMZ, that he wishes he had gone to see Hogan during his final days. Disclosing that his wife suggested he visit, but due to fear of being turned away, he decided against it, which he now regrets.

“I was going to try to go to his house a couple days ago, and I, you know, my wife said, ‘You should just go over there.’ And I was thinking, ‘Oh my God, but if I go to the house and they say, no, you can’t come in,’ it would have crushed me. So I didn’t. And now I wish maybe that I had tried to get in and tried to get to see him before he passed … I love you, brother, you know? And we truly are friends to the end. And I, um, you know, I don’t even know what else to say about that. I know his family and mine were close for many years, and I wish the best for them.”Brutus Beefcake

Hogan and Beefcake began their careers around the same time and at one time even portrayed themselves as brothers, under the names “Terry and Ed Boulder” and as “Hulk and Dizzy Hogan.” And while Hogan’s career would skyrocket, he ensured that Beefcake remained by his side, which allowed them to work together as both allies and rivals in WWE and WCW. Therefore, it was shocking to find out they had fallen out, and heartbreaking that they didn’t reconcile before Hogan’s passing.
