Despite not wrestling since 2003, Steve Austin returned to the ring at WrestleMania 38 and stole the show along with Kevin Owens. However, anyone hoping to see him compete again seemed set for disappointment after the WWE Hall of Famer underwent a total knee replacement last year.
Still, it has just been reported by Fightful Select that 60-year-old Austin hasn’t totally closed the door on returning to the ring, as he’s been telling people recently that he might “have one more in him.” And now, after that news spread, Bronson Reed has seemingly put his name forward as a potential opponent by tweeting, “Stone Cold Steve TSUNAMI!!!“
Austin officially retired in 2003 due to his neck injuries becoming too severe for him, although he did tease a comeback multiple times over the following years, specifically against CM Punk and Brock Lesnar. Yet, when he didn’t wrestle at WrestleMania 32, which was in his home state of Texas, it appeared that any possibility of him wrestling again was over. However, after Kevin Owens disparaged Texas in the build-up to WrestleMania 38, it led to an impromptu No Holds Barred match, which was worthy of its main event spot.
