Brian Knobs Increases GoFundMe Target As His Health Struggles Continue

Earlier this year, a GoFundMe was launched to assist Brian Knobs with his medical bills due to the former WWE and WCW wrestler facing the threat of having his foot amputated. And while it was hoped that the tag team specialist was on the mend, having hit his $30,000 donation target, it has now been disclosed by his close friend Fred Jung that he requires further assistance from generous donors.

This is because the 61-year-old retired wrestler has again been hospitalized with another severe foot infection, and piling on the misery, his wife of three decades, Toni, is also now receiving medical care herself, having fallen and fractured her ankle. Additionally, it’s noted that Knobs is struggling to come to terms with the death of Hulk Hogan, who he considered one of his best friends.

Brian was rushed back to the hospital with a serious foot infection. He’s there now, unable to walk and in pain. Around the same time, Toni had a terrible fall in their hotel room, suffering a compound fracture to her ankle …To make matters worse, the recent passing of Hulk Hogan, one of Brian’s best friends in the world, has hit him hard emotionally.”Fred Jung via GoFundMe

Knobs, along with his lifelong friend Jerry Sags, began their wrestling careers in 1985 via the AWA and joined WCW in 1990 before jumping to WWE later that year. This would see them reach the pinnacle of the business as a tag team when they won the belts at WrestleMania VII. Still, while they seemingly had a bright future in the company, they departed in 1993 due to their rowdy behavior outside the ring, although this wouldn’t stop WCW from rehiring them.
