Fans were both shocked and excited in 2022 when AEW announced that former WWE and TNA wrestler Brian Kendrick would debut for the company in a match against Jon Moxley. However, the match was cancelled just hours before the show, after an old interview resurfaced where he made controversial and offensive conspiracy claims.
And now, during a new interview with the TMPT podcast, Kendrick has discussed his brief time being All Elite, revealing that he was actually made to leave the venue, with his past comments deemed an “embarrassment to the company.”
Kendrick, also known as Spanky early in his career, had multiple WWE runs, during which he memorably formed a tag team with Paul London and briefly held the interim WWE Championship. Additionally, he worked for TNA, ROH, and in Japan, getting over everywhere he went due to his undeniable talent. Still, despite being only 46, it appears his time in the spotlight is over, with his future now most likely being in a backstage or trainer role.
