Bray Wyatt’s WWE Return Has Amassed Huge Number Of Views Across Social Media In The Hours Following Extreme Rules

In recent weeks WWE began teasing “White Rabbit” via the Jefferson Airplane song playing on arenas and QR codes displayed during Raw and SmackDown. And while initially there was still some mistrust regarding who it was, WWE would all but confirm it was related to Wyatt by having a planted fan sign confirm the correct spelling was WYYT RABAT which is obviously an anagram. Plus, they hid a Firefly Fun House character in the latest video linked to a QR code shown on SmackDown.

And now WWE made sure not to disappoint fans as they followed through with his return at Extreme Rules, just as the show was going off air. As first, the lights would go off, and “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands” would begin playing as people dressed as characters from Firefly Fun House were shown in the crowd. And then, after showing a rundown Firefly Funhouse set, Wyatt entered through a door near the entranceway carrying a lantern and wearing a new mask. This can be watched below, and WWE’s social media platforms have already amassed a staggering amount of views, with over 1.7 million coming on YouTube and Twitter. And when you add unofficial sources, it’s over 2 million.

Wyatt was shockingly released by WWE last year, with it initially claiming it was part of the promotion’s cost-cutting measures. That, though, didn’t make sense, as while he was highly paid, Firefly Fun House and The Fiend merchandise were huge sellers. And subsequently, it would come out that the former WWE Champion frequently clashed with Vince McMahon over creative and was well aware his matches were poorly received due to wrestling the style McMahon instructed. Therefore, McMahon’s retirement seemingly opened the door for his return with Triple H now in charge of talent relations. Yet it should be noted that when Wyatt first teased “White Rabbit” on social media, it was on July 4th, before McMahons stepped down. So apparently, he was going to return under McMahon’s leadership.
