Mariah May has joined WWE and is now working under the ring name “Blake Monroe,” which was revealed via a Sabrina Carpenter-inspired vignette during this week’s episode of NXT. This memorable vignette included the former AEW star sitting in a bathtub, and would subsequently see one fan on X suggest that WWE starts selling bars of soap containing her bathwater like Sydney Sweeney’s Bathwater Bliss.
And now Monroe has acknowledged the fans’ idea, revealing she had already asked WWE Shop about selling this unconventional item. Whether WWE will decide to cash in with this unique merchandise is unknown, although considering Sweeney’s $8 bars are selling for considerably more on eBay, it could potentially be a big money maker for both WWE and Monroe.
While the surname “Monroe” obviously came from Marilyn Monroe, it’s understood that “Blake” was far more personal, as it is the British wrestler’s niece’s name. Still, there has been some online speculation that WWE may already be regretting approving this name despite having already filed a trademark application. This is because a Google search reveals that Blake Monroe is also the name of a retired adult actress, and given WWE’s family-friendly image, this could result in some embarrassment.
