Recently, “Jackass” co-creator Johnny Knoxville announced that the franchise will get a fifth movie installment set for release this summer. One of the most prominent “Jackass” stars, Bam Margera, had a highly publicized split with the show and was removed from the “Jackass Forever” film due to violating a wellness contract that was tied to his staying sober.
That resulted in legal action and tension between Margera and the rest of the group. Margera has since cleaned up, and he told TMZ that he will be seen in the new film, but he won’t be doing anything new. “As far as I know, I don’t have to film anything new and I don’t want to,” Margera said. “I’m just too hurt by it and I’ve just accepted the fact that I don’t want anything to do with it anymore.”
Margera continued: “If you had a laundry list of the chain of horrible events … only to sit me down and tell me you’re not in the movie and you’re not getting five million dollars. I have a lot of PTSD from it all.”
Despite the fact that he won’t be used in any kind of current capacity, Margera said he was OK with them using previously filmed footage. “I remember filming so much crazy sh*t that never made it to the movie because it was just too long or too gnarly,” he said. “I said, ‘Hell yeah, go for it.'”
Margera, however, clearly has hard feelings still for Knoxville and other “Jackass” co-creator Jeff Tremaine. “For Tremaine and Knoxville to sit me down after everything I’ve been through… I was very angry. Now I’m not angry, but I’m just hurt. My feelings to them are still f*ck you.”
