It was recently reported that Jacob Fatu was set for a spell on the sidelines, with an unspecified medical reason as the cause. Therefore, when he was shown under a bunch of production equipment and bleeding from his mouth during this week’s episode of SmackDown, few who follow the dirt sheets were surprised. And now confirming the reason for Fatu being written off WWE television, Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com has revealed that he is recovering from a dental procedure, and therefore not cleared to compete.
33-year-old Jacob Fatu joined WWE in April 2024, debuting as The Bloodline’s enforcer on SmackDown a few months later, frequently aiding Solo Sikoa to pick up big wins. Still, he showed far more potential than merely being a lackey and subsequently won the United States Championship from LA Knight at WrestleMania 41, marking a career highlight. However, his reign would only last for 70 days, and it will now be interesting to see where he is positioned once he is medically cleared to return.
