Last year, disturbing allegations re-surfaced against Guns ’N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose. Former Penthouse model Sheila Kennedy detailed the incident in question in her book, “Look Away,” in 2016, and in late 2023 she filed a lawsuit against the frontman for assault over an alleged altercation that took place in 1989.

TMZ reported last year: “Kennedy says she met Axl at an NYC club in February of that year and went back to a private party back at his hotel suite, which she notes was attended by a bunch of people who were allegedly doing drugs.”

“She claims Axl put the moves on her, which she says she was fine with at first — that is, until he allegedly cleared the room so that it was just her, another female model and a pal of his left. Kennedy claims she witnessed AR have aggressive relations with the other model before fleeing to another bedroom with Axl’s friend … before things allegedly went south.”

Kennedy said Rose became angry with the other woman and kicked her out, but then upon discovering Kennedy was still there, dragger her by her hair back to his bed and assaulted her.

Rose denied the claims, and now his legal teams is working to have the case thrown out and dismissed. Rose’s lawyers claim that Kennedy’s recollection of that night are false and that they directly contradict past descriptions of that night.

In one example the legal team said: “In her 2016 self-authored memoir, No One’s Pet, Kennedy described the alleged incident in the Complaint as consensual sex, and specifically noted: ‘I was okay with this. I had wanted to be with him since the minute I’d first laid eyes on him, and now I was getting him.’”‘I was okay with this. I had wanted to be with him since the minute I’d first laid eyes on him, and now I was getting him.’”

Rose’s lawyers also cited an interview Kennedy gave where she said that “Rose was ‘not trying to hurt me’; and Rose acted ‘gently.’”
