In this iteration of the paranormal paragraphs, we are straying from our usual exploration into a paranormal encounter to a paranormal creature feature. This feature will be about the Fresno Nightcrawlers, an odd and quite peculiar life form first documented in 2007, since then, the Fresno Nightcrawlers have gained a tremendous amount of internet fame.
The story of the Fresno Nightcrawlers begins in 2007 when a Fresno native known only as Jose was woken up by the barking of his dogs early in the morning. He ran to his CCTV cameras to check and see if he could catch a glimpse of what was bothering his dogs. To his shock, he saw through grainy footage the image of what appeared to be a ghostly pair of pants striding across his lawn.
Four years later, in Yosemite national park, the creature appeared again on CCTV footage, but it wasn’t alone this time. A second smaller creature was seen in the footage following the larger one in stride. The creatures appeared to be approximately 3 feet tall, white in color and looked like a pair of pants with a small head on top.
The Fresno Nightcrawlers have never produced significant hard evidence of their existence, but that doesn’t mean that people have stopped looking for them. A more recent sighting appeared from 2020 in Billings, Montana showing a creature that seems similar to the previous sightings of the creatures. Again the sighting occurred through CCTV, and the film quality is quite grainy, and hard to see any details the person who posted the video of this new encounter also stated that a deer carcass was found the following day close to the place of the incident.
Since their initial sighting back in 2007, the so-called Fresno Nightcrawlers have gained a significant following on the internet, raising them to almost the level of the likes of Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, as well as many others. The popularity of these creatures has led to a plethora of theories as to the origins of these mysterious creatures. Theories range from aliens to Cryptids all the way to a fungus that has evolved to move on its own.
Regardless of its origins, the Fresno Nightcrawlers have cemented themselves as online legends. Through their popularity on the internet, the Fresno Nightcrawlers have gained many followers and thus many different opinions as to whether they are real or just another internet hoax; however, like the legends of Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster, it is up to you to decide whether they are real or merely another hoax.
