Armando Alejandro Montalvo Was Inspiration For Reggie’s New Scrypts Character

For the past month, an unknown wrestler calling themselves Scrypts had been leaving messages on the Performance Center’s voicemail, and videos would air during NXT threatening an invasion. Then this past Tuesday, it was revealed the mystery man was non-other than former 24/7 Champion Reggie in a mask. And now it has been reported by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio that the Cirque du Soleil alumni’s new character is based on Armando Alejandro Montalvo, the man who stalked the Performance Center.

So you remember the real stalker who was defecating on the premises and doing all that crazy stuff, and he was arrested multiple times? That was the gimmick that inspired, that idiot inspired a gimmick that’s out there doing flips.

For those unaware, Montalvo harassed the WWE, and its talents for several years, initially demanding a job, then trespassing before smearing his feces around the building. At one point, he was even shot when the police officers called to arrest him believed he had a knife. Nevertheless, the clearly disturbed man, who also has numerous non-WWE related arrests on his record, would continue to obsess over WWE. Finally, though, following social media posts deemed threatening, the company received an order of protection in 2019. Although it’s understood he has broken this multiple times.
