And now, following weeks of contract speculation and legal hurdles from his prior WWE stint, the former NXT Champion has taken to X to thank AEW President Tony Khan, and say, “@AEW vamos a romperla!!” which, when translated to English, means “AEW let’s smash it.“
36-year-old Andrade El Idolo was released from WWE in September 2025, reportedly due to multiple Wellness Policy violations. And while he made his surprise AEW return on October 1, 2025, aligning with the Don Callis Family, he was quickly pulled after WWE enforced an unexpected one-year non-compete clause. Subsequently, months of legal negotiations ensued, and Andrade’s legal team finally secured an early waiver in late December 2025, clearing the way for his third AEW return.
