Alberto Del Rio has been accused of some horrendous acts by an ex-girlfriend and is currently facing life in prison when his case goes to trial in January. Things though have taken an unexpected turn because his accuser has taken to her Instagram to apologize to his family for what she deems “my mistakes.” You can read the translated apology below.

Following the apology, Del Rio’s brother Guillermo Rodríguez, also a professional wrestler, would address this with his Facebook followers, where he called her a garbage and greedy person, as you can read below.

Well gang, as everyone knows the truth always falls by its own weight. After so many months finally the garbage of person who accused my brother of something totally false spoke with the truth admitting his lie and, although apologized in this way so ruin, after all that provoked my brother and to my family both personally and industrially hopefully serve those people who destroyed my carnal will open their eyes and for those who supported him and did not turn their back to him do justice because in the end he, like most other celebrities, was a victim of an advantageous and greedy person like so many who abuse reflectors and try to make the most of whatever… The truth will set you free.Guillermo Rodríguez

Right now, this does not change the status of Del Rio’s legal situation, although if his ex-girlfriend were to withdraw her testimony officially, it certainly would.
