Last month, based on a Dave Meltzer message board post, we reported that AJ Styles was furious with Paul Heyman for not fighting to keep Gallows and Anderson on the roster. This was supposedly the catalyst for Styles moving to SmackDown so he could get away Paul Heyman, who was Executive Director of Raw at the time. Now during a Mixer stream, Styles had addressed this report and go on to call Paul Heyman “a bold-faced liar” which you can watch below.
Paul Heyman being referred to as a liar isn’t new, Heyman is well known for playing fast and loose with the truth. Jim Cornette famously said, “Paul Heyman would rather climb a tree and tell a lie than stand on the ground and tell the truth.” Our very Chris Jericho would tell the story in his first book, and on WWE’s ECW documentary that Paul Heyman booked him on a flight under a bereavement fare without telling him so Heyman could save money. The stories of Heyman lying are seemingly endless, but many people choose to give Heyman a pass because he is charismatic and gave the world ECW, but obviously, Styles, Gallows, and Anderson don’t.
