AEW’s RJ City Puts The Undertaker On Blast

Following his in-ring retirement, The Undertaker surprised fans by not only talking out of character but also starting his own podcast. Since then, Six Feet Under With Mark Calaway has become one of the most downloaded and streamed wrestling podcasts in the world, and it’s even rumored that Donald Trump will be appearing as a guest in the coming weeks.

However, despite its popularity, many fans are critical of the show, noting The Undertaker can be very hostile towards modern-day wrestling, seemingly preferring the way things were back when he was competing. And now, demonstrating that he is one of those who isn’t a fan, AEW’s RJ City has called the WWE Hall of Famer a “weird man” and mockingly asked, “Did you start off dead?” during a recent interview with ECW’s Francine.

I haven’t seen anyone so wrapped up in a whole thing that is unique to themselves [like Toni Storm] since, I don’t know, The Undertaker. And she’s not doing half-ass horrible podcasts now. She’s not wearing weird problematic shirts and being like, ‘Wrestling is not telling stories.’ Thanks, Mark. I really appreciate it. His show is weird. The guy is weird. He’s a weird man. ‘Back in my day, it was a lot better.’ I’m sorry, were you always dead? Did you start off dead? Would you like to explain that?”

36-year-old City is usually very laidback and, therefore, isn’t one to share controversial opinions or put people on blast, so he must really oppose The Undertaker’s views to have said what he has. Still, it seems doubtful that The Undertaker will respond as he typically opts to ignore criticism, and given that City works for AEW, he likely won’t want to draw attention to WWE’s rivals in any capacity.
