AEW’s Anna Jay Provides Update Following Surgery

AEW’s Anna Jay Provides Update Following Surgery

AEW announced on February 22nd that Dark Order member Anna Jay was injured and was unable to compete in their title eliminator tournament. The injury took place during a training session and is expected to keep her out for between 6 and 12 months. Jay has now shared on social that her surgery took place earlier today, and she is currently recuperating.

Hi everyone 🙂 I just got out of my shoulder surgery, and all is well. For the next two days I will most likely sleep and eat only ice cream and soup. But after that…I will be working my ass off in any way I can. Thanks for all of the support and well wishes. 🙏🏼❣️ -99Anna Jay

This is the second shoulder surgery Jay has had to undergo during her short career after suffering a similar injury when she first began training to become a pro wrestler in 2019. In that case, she managed to make a full recovery and would make her in-ring debut at a charity wrestling event put on by former WCW wrestler Glacier five months later. Less than a year after that match, she’d sign for AEW following a losing effort to Hikaru Shida on Dynamite, having impressed AEW management.
