It was recently reported that the contract of current AEW wrestler Matt Hardy is set to expire at the end of March. And now fueling speculation that he could be WWE-bound, his wife Reby has revealed on TikTok that they were both at this week’s Raw, which took place at the PNC Arena in North Carolina. Of course, this doesn’t confirm anything, although the fact Michael Cole also mentioned the Hardy Boyz on commentary when promoting Jimmy and Jey Uso’s upcoming brother vs. brother match at WrestleMania 40 could also be viewed as a sign.
49-year-old Hardy’s last WWE contract expired in 2020, and he subsequently opted not to re-sign with the company and instead joined AEW. However, while his career in Tony Khan’s promotion started off promising, as of late, he hasn’t been heavily featured, with him having only wrestled once in 2024. This seemingly indicates that AEW management doesn’t see him as an indispensable part of their roster, and thus, Hardy may be open to a WWE return.
