AEW Star Renamed On Roster Page

During Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite, Christian Cage rechristened Luchasaurus to “Killswitch” after his finishing move. This was because he blamed the AEW original for their six-man tag team defeat at Full Gear and believes his current name is associated with a loser. He also gave Nick Wayne the nickname “The Prodigy,” but how this played out was clearly done to set up a future feud between Cage and Luchasaurus down the line. However, confirming the name change was official, AEW has updated its roster page to reflect this.

38-year-old Luchasaurus debuted for AEW at the promotion’s inaugural pay-per-view Double or Nothing, and it was confirmed shortly afterward he had signed a full-time contract with the company. From there, he would form an incredibly popular tag team with Jungle Boy, which saw the duo win the AEW World Tag Team Championship. Yet, AEW management saw his long-term future as a singles performer, and he would eventually turn on Jungle Boy and align with Cage, becoming a monster heel in the process and a featured performer.
